WOW DevART people I haven't written in my journal in over a year on here! It's amazing how time can really fly. I have been a member on here for five years and counting. This past year and a half has just been a total roller coaster for me. And now here I am, a few weeks from turning the big 2-0, and I have a baby on the way.

Looking back and reflecting on the last five years I have really seen that wisdom can only come with experience. I was such a depressed teenager. Back then, I was surrounded by so much negativity, pressure and stress and trying so hard to belong. Only in the last 10 months or so have a really come to realize that the best thing a person can do is just sit back and enjoy the ride that life has to offer. Take things as they come and make the best of them. Stressing out about those little things you cannot change is no way to live. There is so much good out there still, you just have to be able to open up your eyes and see it. If you spend so much time focusing on the bad things, you're going to miss all the good stuff.

Every oppertunity that you can grasp to have a conversation with someone about anything will help you to grow as a person. From a road trip with friends to distant places or something just as simple as staying up all night talking about nothing and listening to music. These are experiences that cannot be replaced by anything. There is no value which can be placed on friendship and love.

It took me a lot of growing up to realize all these things. Mainly, I had to get the hell out of my high school and away from all the media out there telling our youth that all that matters out there is money and making some huge name for yourself. It's the wrong message. People need to be told that they can touch someones life weather or not they are president of the united states or some other high ranking person. Everyone can make a difference and everyone matters.

Sorry for the ranting. I actually did have a point on here though. I'm thinking of doing this thing where I take a picture of Daisy every day from birth and make a catalog of them. I've seen it done before but it was an older guy and I think he only did it for maybe 2-3 years. I loved the idea though and I thought that when she's much older I will have made an age progression through photos like no other. I'll try to be on here again soon. Hope you all are doing lovely!!
